the club of Ten–Chi we pay special attention to the study of the philosophy of the martial art, because knowledge is the basis for correct techniques and movements in Aikido. We teach our students principles of Aikido, and they turn, become the main tool for physical and sports development person. In addition, only through philosophy a student can attain harmony, as with yourself and with the outside world.
AI (jap. 合) — means to come for something to be correct or consistent match. In addition, this kanji can be used for events that it may be beneficial to the person, and also mean harmony.
Ki (jap. 気) — the character that means life energy, the energy of the human spirit and the process of breathing. Sometimes can be used as the character that means the movement of the pair.
Until (jap. 道) — the character that means the road is also very often symbolizes the path. Sometimes used to pass any way.
the Combination of the first two characters "iKey": means the unity of man with power, used to describe the connection of the human soul with the power of universal energy in the surrounding his world. The combination of these two characters means that Aikido helps man to become a single-piece mechanism with energy of life the forces surrounding the person in his life.
according to the interpretation of Morihei Ueshiba, together, all three kanji mean "the way to harmony of spirit": because the words "harmony" and "love" in Japanese are written differently, but sound have the same, master Ueshiba decided to call them invented a unique Budo — "Aikido", although the word "Aiki" is already up to that time was present in Japanese language and had its own value. However, the meaning that students of Budo are invested in that word before, was radically different from what wanted to pass this word Ueshiba.
