Aikido for children - What will your child learn?
Aikido-today one of the most common types of martial arts originally from Japan. Having a long-term, but not even a century-old culture, this direction, however, was able to develop to a large scale and is now popular all over the world. It is also popular in Russia: Aikido is practiced by tens of thousands of followers. Translation of " Aikido "from Japanese can be interpreted as"the way of harmony and power". This world-famous martial art was created by O-Sensei Ueshiba Morihei in the early twentieth century. Aikido is not just a struggle, it can be called a synthesis of philosophy, religious beliefs of the O-Sensei and the collection of experience of all martial arts. The development of strength of mind, body strength and self-control, finding harmony in yourself-that's what every person who is engaged in Aikido.
How is the process of teaching Aikido children?
Training in our school takes place on a special developed system - a program of training in martial arts step by step and helps to systematically take new steps towards the development of Aikido. The dojo is taught by qualified trainers with extensive experience of Aikido practice.
In the children's group in the school "Ten-Chi" child can be given from six years, however, the optimal age to start classes is considered 7-8 years. Groups are formed not only by age, but also by the level of training, which improves the effectiveness of training. The system of encouragement of pupils, also motivates our pupils on new results and successes: every year for pupils of school of Aikido we carry out certification of level of preparation and we transfer to new level (Kyu), we encourage diplomas and certificates.
However, the process of teaching Aikido children in "Ten-Chi" dojo is not limited to Aikido classes: students can annually participate in the annual summer camp in Bulgaria. 21 days on the black sea coast in Bulgaria helps children to recover and gain strength, to undergo intensive training.
Tips for parents who have decided to give their children in Aikido.
First of all, you should pay attention to the fact that the Aikido hall is a place for training, which will require a serious attitude. It is the correct setting for Aikido classes that will ensure further success: the student must pay great attention to the words of the coach, do everything that is necessary and not indulge. The same setting on the seriousness and ensure maximum safety of your child: that the baby is not injured, but rather improved his physical shape, it is necessary to focus his attention on the seriousness of the approach to classes.
And another important point that is relevant for those who are already engaged in Aikido in our club. In the process of teaching a child it is extremely important to take part in everything that happens in the classroom. We recommend you to be interested in and with frequent intervals to delve into the essence of how the classes are held, whether all your baby likes, what he manages and what not.
