Kisshomaru Ueshiba was born in 1921 in Ayabe city, which is located in Kyoto Prefecture in Japan. Kisshomaru — is the third son of Morihei Ueshiba, the main ideological inspirer and Creator of Aikido. Being the son of the great master of Aikido, Kisshomaru was involved in martial arts since childhood.
In 1946, Kisshomaru graduated from the faculty of political science at Waseda University, and from 1948 he became the General Director of the company Icii Hombu-Dojo. Since that time, he was involved in the management of companies also conducted regular lessons in Aikido in a staff-apartment of the society and went, promoting the art worldwide. After his father's death in 1969, Kisshomaru succeeded him as chief Teacher of the Way of martial arts.
