Biography of Aikido founder Morihei Ueshiba
Teacher's childhood and youth
Morihei-the Creator and founder of martial arts, as many called him, the Creator of a miracle. He was born Morihei December 14 1883, in Japan, in the city of Tanabe. The very education and childhood instilled in him a love of martial arts, as Morihei was a native of the samurai family. After a time, the samurai class was abolished, as a result of which the young Uesiba had to face periodic ridicule and mockery from peers. However, many consider this moment in Uesiba's biography to be a turning point-it was then that he had a desire to stand up for himself. Somewhat later, in 1911, he had a fateful meeting with master Sokaku Takeda, who managed to influence his further development in the future. Sokaku was a teacher in the secret schools of JIU-jitsu , which after a while very successfully and quickly began to study under Ueshiba, the result of which was enrolled in the list of the best students. For 5 years, Uesiba was trained in this type of martial arts and graduated in 1916.
Later, there was another important meeting with the master, Lanesboro, DEGUCHI, who was the founder of a religious direction Omoto-Kyo. Lectures, Lanesboro about peace and harmony and that everything is based on love and peace, tolerance, goodness and the work of man struck Uesibu and flipped his mood and consciousness. From that moment, Uesiba began not only to engage in martial arts, but also strongly combined them with spiritual practices. So gradually he came to the creation of his own kind of martial arts – Aikido.
Aikido Morihei and legends
About Morihei goes many legends and still. Old books and records show that some people who knew Morihei became unintentional observers of the Golden glow emanating from him during the martial arts, and that he could become invisible at will.
Morihei himself claimed that often felt a strong inspiration or insight, sometimes felt as it began to shake the earth. Having survived the miracle, Morihei shared with everyone, and even then preached what filled his consciousness and lifestyle.
