This technique is often used as a counter to an armed enemy. As many of the techniques of Aikido Koshi-nage uses mostly the power of the enemy against him. Also, this technique develops coordination, because it requires coordinated work of the whole body.
Fight begins in a standing position in identical left-hand racks. The enemy is armed with a knife and has the initiative. The enemy causes the side stabbed in the neck. For protection we need to leave the line of attack. To do this, perform a step diagonally to the right. Simultaneously with the movement of raise the hands on level of neck.
Now we have the opportunity to counterattack. Turn the body on the right foot 90 degrees. Simultaneously with reversal are beginning work hands. The left blocks the opponent's hand with a knife, stopping it at a safe distance, and the right we put some blows to the face.
While the enemy is disoriented by the blows, hold the grip of the wrist that holds the knife. After capture of a brush, it is necessary to twist a hand of the opponent on a circle upwards, simultaneously shifting forward.
In the end position of the hand of the opponent should be on your shoulder. It is important that the thigh of your left leg is in contact with the body of the enemy. When explaining the reception, the instructors of our school pay special attention to this point, because the correct setting of the legs and body will allow you to use the power of the whole body. Once you feel the touch of the opponent's body with your hip, you need to throw it on your back with one sharp movement.
At the end of the reception is performed throw the enemy down. To perform the correct throw, the hands must work simultaneously, but make multidirectional movements – the right hand goes down, and the left hand goes up.
