Morihei Uesiba's Insight

Those who knew Morihei in life, and confirmed his words and themselves became those people, from whose tailored then emerged the legend about Morihei.  Someone testified that Morihei could disappear from a place, and also to appear on it, another said that saw how it could fly up during fight, thus, as usual it is not peculiar to do it even to the most perfect master of single combats. The basics of martial arts Aikido

In teaching the art of martial arts, Uesiba shared the basics of the principles he followed himself and urged others to follow: "True martial art should have nothing to do with brute physical force, only needed to bring down the enemy, nor, especially, with any deadly weapons that lead the world to destruction." Many have perceived any struggle as aggression, Ueshiba, on the other hand, were taught to see in a duel of love. His struggle is first of all a struggle with himself, in the ability to find harmony and love in himself, and on this basis to form his inner state.

Also, one of the important facts he believed to be the overcoming of self. Uesiba explained: "True victory implies, first of all, the achievement of domination over his lower selfish "I", overcoming passions and desires, full ownership of their feelings and emotions in any situation."
Ueshiba shared principles and opposed to physical force in the martial art of Aikido. So he reasoned that the champion today will be won tomorrow and therefore there is no absolute victory, but there is a victory only temporary. The real victory is the victory of the very nature of man, the possession of his" I", the ability to live with him, to accept him and to transmit through him the true love. It is overcoming emotions, passions and desires, as well as full control of yourself in all situations and teaches Aikido.
